November 2017: Cork – based Wisetek Solutions Ltd, an international provider of used IT asset disposal (ITAD) & secure data destruction services, today announced a definitive agreement to merge its established USA operations with Computer Discounters Inc. who trade under the ‘DataKillers’ brand.
Financial terms are not being disclosed, however the expanded group revenues will be over €30 million for this financial year and an anticipated growth in revenue to over €50 million within the next 2 years.
The combined operations of DataKillers with Wisetek now provides their multinational customer organizations with a standardized global delivery of IT asset disposal and data destruction services. The new company will now become one of the largest suppliers of refurbished IT equipment in the world.
DataKillers are headquartered outside Washington DC., strategically located in close proximity to address both the US Federal Government market and the USA’s largest data center hub in VirginiaDatakillers and Wisetek now operate the largest fleet of mobile data destruction trucks across the USA, providing USA customers with national coverage for on-site data destruction and IT removal services. This combined service and reach now establishes Wisetek as a truly global IT asset disposal and data destruction services partner.

These organizations consistently require centralized management control of IT asset disposal operations to ensure all data is secured in retired IT equipment before leaving their premises. Wisetek’s substantial investments in developing innovative customer operational systems that deliver extended operational control and evidential reporting will immediately be rolled out within DataKillers.
The merger with DataKillers also expands our services expertise from primarily managing data centre class products to now incorporating end user IT equipment including PCs, laptops and mobile devices.
