Wisetek Raises €7,000 as Part of its Ukrainian Crisis Assistance Efforts
Wisetek, a global leader in advanced IT asset disposition (ITAD), data destruction, technology reuse, and manufacturing services, has raised €7,000 in vital funds in aid of Ukraine and the Red Cross.
On the 9th of April, the company hosted and sponsored a fundraising event in the Clayton Hotel, Cork City. The Benefit Night was organised by Wisetek’s Production Manager, Christine Fitzgerald, and funds donated will support the efforts of the Red Cross in helping those affected by the conflict in Ukraine, and the provision of life-saving food, water, shelter, and medicine. The event was also sponsored by Cully & Sully, Laya Healthcare, and DHL, among many others.
Wisetek staff, family, and friends were in attendance on the night and received a singing performance from the company’s Production Supervisor, Barry Darcy, who featured in Ireland’s Got Talent 2019.
Christine Fitzgerald, Production Manager of Wisetek said: “Wisetek is delighted to have raised vital funds in aid of the Red Cross through its recent Benefit Night. We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to all who attended and supported this very worthy cause. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event and it was all the better, knowing that we were making a difference in the lives of those affected by this horrific war.”
Sean Sheehan, CEO of Wisetek said: “Wisetek would like to thank its sponsors, staff members, and their family and friends for their outpouring of generosity and support towards the people of Ukraine. It is important in times like these for the Wisetek community to come together and play our part in helping those affected by this crisis. We hope that the funds raised will assist the Red Cross in their efforts during this tragic time.”
Additionally, Wisetek staff members also recently completed a multi-week fundraising challenge of walking four million steps – this is the equivalent of the distance from Ireland to Ukraine and back again.
