World Earth Day: Be the Change

We are soon approaching the 50-year milestone since millions of members of the public took to the streets to raise awareness for issues surrounding the environment. Pressing issues which sparked the movement of World Earth Day included: the increasing levels of pollution and the frightening effects on biodiversity. Today, World Earth Day is now celebrated across the globe on April 22nd with over 1 billion people in 192 countries taking part in what is the largest civic-focused day of action in the world earthday.org.
The Earth Day Network emphasizes how Earth Day continues to be a crucial point in time, a day that holds the status as the largest secular observance in the world and continues to inspire many corporations and governments around the globe to implement and action changes in environmental policies.
